Late love

Late, untimely,
Cherished, but not modern,
Sudden and unexpected,
In white dreams lamented,
That's what you are, Love!

Timid and aspen like,
Lilac or non existent,
Flowery and doomed,
Uttered in my bird's dream only,
That's what you are, Love!

Elated and broken,
A sprout a poem unfinished,
Thunderous and so furious,
A glowing firefly in my hand,
That's what you are, Love!

I kneel, my true one,
Butterfly like how real you are!
Star gazing and quite subdued,
Flying with my secret blessing
You are, Love!

Touches

Translated into English by Lilyana Petkova

The silence in the woods
Keeps secret the birds' mute longing
For the sky and coolness
In their questioning pupils...
A rusty stalk flutters in the wind
/A quiet cymbal with wearied strings/:
It gives the sun a kiss and dashes
Into the dancing of the blown leaves. . .
Golden autumn crocuses Candles at the altars of the sunset,
Entwine into melodic tunes
Their red-yellow shadows.
And the young boy's arms
Stretch dreamily and twine
Wreaths for their beloved
And with the flock they fly away. . .
And a peaceful charm
Drifts tenderly below the dome
Of nature's magic.
The rain of sunset patters. . . .

Eternity

Translated into English by Lilyana Petkova

Along the raging curves of waves
Passes the weary glimmer of the sunset.
And there gallop, maddened, our days--
Out of fear or love--or just by habit.

The sea--caressing and toil-worn--
Reflects the mournful clouds above.
And with the flutter of wings or hope
Flickers an emerald haze.

In that peacefulness a white instant
Softly and celestially melts.
And the sea expanse keeps quiet,
The sea again remains and lives.

And then eternity and transience embrace
On the pale line of the distance.
And kept subdued, they slowly float
To the mute chamber of silence.

Moonlight Sonata

Translated into English by Lilyana Petkova

The moon sigh of the sea expanses
Enveloped both stars and birds again.
They dream of their quiet island
Where they silently whisper secret wires.

The sea waters are enchanted
With unravelled, dumb enchantments.
And then the earth and sky are touched
By millennial ghostly tales.

The copper red disk of the moon
Is sailing to the sleepy depths.
And little wakeful crabs suddenly
started playing with the pale ball.

But a farewell, brittle lunar ring
Then slowly lay above the wave.
And in its accords, quiet and crystal
The soul of eternity beams a smile.
